Global law firm Kennedys has expanded its corporate and commercial practice group by appointing Andy Brown, an expert in tax disputes and investigations, and his team.
With over 25 years of industry experience, Brown brings a wealth of knowledge in advising on various forms of tax-related disputes, investigations, money laundering, fraud, and other tax-related crisis situations.
This appointment not only augments the firm’s capabilities in tax disputes and investigations but also bolsters its white-collar crime and investigations team, reinforcing the broader commercial dispute resolution offerings.
In his new role, Brown will be accompanied by his former associates, Chris Young and Jennifer Southern. Young, with prior experience at PwC Legal and DWF, and Southern, a barrister and former lawyer at HMRC, will work alongside Brown in London, serving clients across the firm’s global offices.
“Kennedys is a fantastic opportunity for myself and my team to further our careers with a firm that is established and well-respected and continues to thrive and grow particularly in its corporate and commercial arm. Our clients are typically split across different sectors, so I am looking forward to getting to know colleagues and adding real value for clients across the different practice groups,” Brown said.
“Andy’s knowledge of contentious tax matters and reputation in the market is unparalleled, and he is certainly someone our clients would want on their side in a crisis situation. We are delighted to welcome him and his team,” Kennedys corporate and commercial division head Ben Aram said.
