(ANSA) – ROME, OCT 10 – The Bank of Italy said Tuesday that
the average APR (annual percentage rate) on an Italian mortgage
climbed to 4.67% in August, up from 4.58% in July.
Monthly payments on variable rate mortgages have increased
significantly due to the European Central Bank’s interest-rate
hikes aimed at bringing down high levels of inflation.
The Bank of Italy said the average APR for consumer credit was
10.63% in August, up from 10.48% the previous month. (ANSA).
