Air New Zealand has extended by two years the expiration date for credits issued due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, the carrier announced Friday. Customers now have until Jan. 31, 2026, to book tickets with the credits for travel through Dec. 31, 2026. 

Close to 85 percent of customers who received credits have used them to book flights, but there remains more than NZ$200 million (US$118.8 million) that have not been used yet, according to Air New Zealand. This also is the sixth time that the carrier has extended the expiration date for the credits.
