UK-based travel management and meetings specialist Inntel has launched a Sustainable Travel Hub to help companies make more environmentally friendly travel choices.
The hub is an open resource which is available to both Inntel’s clients and other external organisations without any charge. It features sustainability policies and accreditations for a range of hotels, venues, airlines, airports, rail operators and other suppliers.
Inntel said the platform allows companies to check and compare each supplier’s ESG policies and then choose travel options with a lower carbon footprint. The information on the hub will also be embedded into the online booking tool used by Inntel’s clients.
Douglas O’Neill, CEO of Inntel, said: “I am pleased to add the Sustainable Travel Hub to our extensive range of solutions that support our clients with measuring, reporting, reducing and offsetting their emissions as a result of business travel and meetings.
“In addition to this, by making the hub an open resource, we are supporting the industry we operate in to make a positive impact as well.”
The IT infrastructure used to develop the sustainable hub was based on Inntel’s pre-existing Covid Hub, which has been repurposed with information about suppliers’ ESG policies.
