Durst Group, a leading Italian manufacturer of digital printing solutions, has successfully acquired Aleph SrL, another Italian organisation that specialises in developing sustainable direct-to-fabric printing solutions. This strategic step not only leverages Durst Group’s standing in sustainable printing technologies, particularly focusing on water-based printing but also broadens its customer base, notably due to Aleph’s affiliation with Como, a nucleus for textile design and top-notch applications in Italy.

Christoph Gamper, Durst Group’s CEO, conveyed excitement for integrating Aleph, commending their proficiency in sustainable, water-based applications and top-tier software tailored for textiles. The escalating demand for environmentally conscious and customisable products has propelled the adoption of digital printing technologies employing water-based inks, instigating Durst’s strategic acquisition move.

Alessandro Manes, CEO of Aleph SrL, depicted the collaboration with Durst Group as an exciting new phase, underscoring shared values of technological innovation, excellence, and a dedication to genuine sustainability. He added that the alliance holds tremendous potential for progress in digital textiles and various other sectors.

Aleph, established in 2000, initially specialised in software and textile consumables but later transitioned into the production of innovative machines for digital water-based printing. In 2017, Wise Equity partnered with Aleph to facilitate international expansion, particularly in specialised textile printing applications. Presently, Aleph derives over 60 per cent of its revenue from operations across 20+ countries.
