The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has launched a crackdown on the terrorist-gangsters network and has released the photographs of 43 suspects, some of them with Canada and Khalistan links.

Urging the public to share details of properties and assets of the criminals, which can be taken over by the Centre, the NIA in its post issued pictures of Lawrence Bishnoi, Jasdeep Singh, Kala Jatheri alias Sandeep, Virender Pratap alias Kala Rana and Joginder Singh along with their names.

The NIA has appealed to the public to provide any information they might have regarding the whereabouts, properties, and business dealings of these wanted criminals.

“Persons shown in the photos below are accused in the NIA Cases RC-38/2022/NIA/DLI or RC-39/2022/NIA/DLI. If you have any information about properties/assets/ business owned by them in their name or in the name of their associates, friends & relatives, please WhatsApp DM @ +91 7290009373,” the NIA said in a post on ‘X’.

The NIA has also announced cash rewards for information on five Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorists including its Canada-based leader Lakhbir Singh Landa and Pakistan-based Harwinder Singh Rinda.

While the federal agency announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh each for information on Landa and Rinda, who are key leaders in the Khalistan machinery, Rs 5 lakh each was declared on Parminder Singh Kaira alias Pattu, Satnam Singh alias Satbir Singh and Yadvinder Singh alias Yadda, according to a statement issued by the NIA.

All five, against whom rewards have been announced, are associated with BKI.

The move comes as part of NIA’s ongoing efforts to root out organised crime and terrorism within India and across its borders. Several of these accused are currently in Indian jails, while others remain at large, operating from foreign soil and posing a significant threat to national security.

This also comes amid growing tensions between India and Canada after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday accused the Indian government of being behind the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Nijjar, who was a designated terrorist in India, was gunned down outside a Gurdwara, in a parking area in Canada’s Surrey, British Columbia on June 18 this year.
