Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson has called out Micah Parsons and told him to focus on his own season rather than seek problems with other franchises
Dallas Cowboys defensive star Micah Parsons has been told to focus on his own team after slamming the New York Giants for keeping Daniel Jones in the 40-0 on “Sunday Night Football.”
The Cowboys steamrolled the Giants in Week 1 as they humbled their divisional rivals, and Jones had a night to forget. It was the Giants’ second-largest home defeat in history, and the game was over by half-time as the Cowboys took a 26-point lead.
But rather than pull Jones from the quarterback position for his protection, head coach Brian Daboll kept him in the game and he ended up taking a total of seven sacks. Parsons was responsible for one of them and questioned why he was still out there after the game.
“I thought they should have protected him and pulled him out. Barring injury, their season would be over without Daniel Jones,” said Parsons. “It’s called protecting your guy – something I thought the Giants should have done.
“I don’t think Daniel Jones should have been in that game in the fourth quarter.” But Parsons has been told to stop judging other teams and focus on what the Cowboys are doing by former Dallas wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson, who even took a dig at his old team for always getting ahead of themselves after winning.
“Mind your own business man. … If they made a decision I don’t care! That’s their decision,” Johnson said on FS1’s “Undisputed.” “Their decision is he must not be good enough for them to care about because I can guarantee that the Philadelphia Eagles wouldn’t leave Jalen Hurts there.
“It’s just not going to happen. Worry about the Dallas Cowboys and getting the [New York] Jets off your schedule with a W. But this is what happens to y’all. You win one game you start talking a lot. … You set yourself up for failure for people to attack you, Mike.

“My message to Micah Parsons is: ‘So what?’ Don’t care about them, let them get him hurt if that’s what they want to do. You just make sure Mike McCarthy doesn’t leave Dak Prescott in that situation.”
The Cowboys are without an NFL championship since 1995, but owner Jerry Jones is convinced that this could be their season as he said: “We are in as good a shape as we’ve ever been.” Parsons is also confident and feels that their win in Week 1 made a statement.
“We said this offseason that we were going to be the most dominant defensive team in the NFL,” said Parsons. “I’m here to hunt, I’m here to kill, I’m here to win championships, and I just adapted that mindset.”
