CFTC’s Caroline Pham Proposes Crypto Regulation Pilot

Caroline Pham, a member of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), has proposed the creation of a limited pilot program for regulating cryptocurrencies. The program would incorporate various components from past pilot programs, including registration requirements, risk management, and disclosures. However, the CFTC, led by Chairman Rostin Behnam, has not shown a favorable stance towards the crypto industry, and Pham’s initiatives may be put on hold until Congress establishes laws for the sector.
