Emirates boosts Hong Kong services with third daily flight

Emirates has announced a third daily flight to Hong Kong, starting from 1 November.

The additional flight, operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, will provide non-stop services between Dubai and Hong Kong and supports the growing demand for travel on the route.

There is presently a significant air travel demand between the United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong. According to the data from the Civil Aviation Administration of China, in 2022, there were over 1.5 million passengers traveling between the two destinations.

This number is expected to grow in the coming years as the economies of both countries continue to grow and the travel restrictions are further relaxed.

There are a number of factors that are driving the demand for air travel between the UAE and Hong Kong. These include:

  • The strong economic ties between the two countries. The UAE is a major trading partner of Hong Kong, and there is a lot of business travel between the two cities.
  • The growing tourism industry in both countries. Hong Kong is a popular tourist destination for people from the UAE, and the UAE is also becoming a more popular tourist destination for people from Hong Kong.
  • The convenient flight connections. There are many direct flights between the two cities, making it easy and convenient to travel between them.

Emirates route frequency

In response to the growing market demand, Emirates’ ramping of its services to Hong Kong will see it operating an impressive 21 flights per week.

With the addition of this third daily flight, Emirates will now operate two daily direct flights to Hong Kong, alongside a third daily service via Bangkok, ensuring that travellers have a range of options to suit their schedules.

The new daily frequency between Hong Kong and Dubai, designated as EK382/383, will operate in a luxurious 3-class configuration, featuring First Class, Business Class, and Economy Class cabins.

This ensures that passengers can enjoy the Emirates experience regardless of their travel class. The airline’s dedication to providing a premium travel experience remains unwavering.

A Blend of Options


The upcoming flights set to commence in November will complement Emirates’ direct services on EK380/381 and EK384/385, which include a brief stopover in Bangkok.
