WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, August 23, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, will lead a field hearing in Des Moines.
The hearing will focus on the impact of regulations on small businesses and Ranking Member Ernst’s work to force federal agencies to demonstrate that any new regulation is compliant with existing laws and considers both the direct and indirect costs placed on small businesses. Witnesses include:
- Major L. Clark, III, Acting Chief Counsel from the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy,
- State Representative Shannon Latham (R-Sheffield), and,
- Megan Green, Counsel and Engineering Manager for Weiler Products.
