Speaking to Drapers following her label’s Copenhagen Fashion Week SS24 catwalk presentation, which took place on 9 August outside her family home, Goya confirmed the business is looking to expand its physical retail footprint and is targeting the US’s east coast for its next store:

“We will definitely open more stores. I think New York will probably be the next one,” she said.

Stine Goya currently has four stores: three in Denmark, including two in Copenhagen and one in Aarhus, as well as one in London, which opened in October 2022.

The Danish womenswear label is also stocked by UK luxury department stores Flannels, Selfridges, Fenwick, Liberty and Harvey Nichols, as well as independent boutiques including St Albans’ The Dressing Room, east London’s The Mercantile and Bristol-based Grace & Mabel.

For SS24, Stine Goya is expanding its denim, footwear and handbags categories, the designer told Drapers.

“We introduced [denim] last season [at the AW23 catwalk presentation in February 2023] a little bit and this time, we’re really rolling it out.

“Our bags and shoes are something that we are really putting a lot of effort into now, because we really want to have that full range in the brand,” Goya said.

For SS24, Stine Goya is banking on suede handbags with silver metallic ‘S’-shaped clasps, as well as sling-back mules in shades of beige, pastel pink and baby blue.

Retail prices for Stine Goya footwear range between £210 for pink leather platform sliders to £440 for black rubber and polyester knee-high boots. Handbags retail between £90 for a polyester cross-body bag to £180 for a polyester metallic hobo-style bag.
