Around the Hub: Lubbock’s business news includes four openings from food to retail

[ad_1]

Hello A-J readers!

This week saw Rusty Taco, The Dutch House of Plants, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet and Smothered Cakes open for business in Lubbock. The new Tractor Supply, 4810 North FM 2528, also hosted its opening on Saturday. That’s a pretty impressive round of openings for one week, so I’m hopeful the rest of August will add more options to our community.

I did get to visit Ollie’s over the week, and I have to say, I get the hype. Several readers had reached out to me months ago to verify if it was really coming to Lubbock. On Aug. 9, it officially opened at 5002 34th St. and offered a ton of deals for shoppers. I found some great work items and art supplies, along with some possible holiday presents for later this year. In my opinion, it is definitely worth a trip.

Looking into next week, I’m tracking down some rumors and circling back with some upcoming businesses. I will also meet with a company that will be celebrating 100 years of business, so stay tuned for that upcoming feature.

As always, thank you for reading and supporting the A-J.
