(San Francisco, August 3, 2023) – Dutch nationals residing in the Western United States will have the opportunity to easily renew their passports this fall.
The Pop-Up Consulate West Coast Tour, organized by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in San Francisco, will travel to six major cities on the West Coast, offering a range of consular services to the Dutch community.
The tour aims to provide a seamless and efficient process for passport and ID-card applications, eliminating the need for Dutch nationals to travel to the consulate in San Francisco.
Responding to the increased demand for Dutch passports, the Pop-Up Consulate West Coast Tour will visit an unprecedented six locations within just two months. This expansion underscores the Dutch government’s commitment to continuously improving services for its citizens living abroad.
Deputy Consul General Agnes Koppelman expressed her excitement about the new milestone, stating, “I am thrilled that through this traveling passport service, we can support hundreds of Dutch citizens locally. The Dutch government is dedicated to innovation and enhancing services for Dutch citizens abroad. The Pop-Up Consulate West Coast Tour not only saves valuable time and money but also contributes to a greener environment by reducing air travel.”
The Pop-Up Consulate West Coast Tour will travel to the following cities between September and November:
- September 11-13: Seattle, Washington
- September 27-29: San Diego, California
- October 2-4: Albuquerque, New Mexico
- October 18-20: Portland, Oregon
- October 24-26: Denver, Colorado (including an economic visit)
- November 1-3: Salt Lake City, Utah
