Sports media and technology company Fz Sports, which operates 1190 Sports, Fanatiz, and Nunchee, has raised US$74 million in growth funding.
Confirmed:
- Investors in Fz Sports include 777 Partners, MEP Capital, Torneos, Serengeti Asset Management and Magma Partners
- Financing includes debt and equity capital
- Funding will allow Fz Sports to expand its work in the Latin American sports rights market
- 1190 Sports’ Peruvian Liga1 rights business also set for accelerate growth
Context:
As well as the Peruvian top-flight, Fz Sports also manages the international broadcasting rights of the Brasileirão Campeonato Serie A and Liga Argentina de Futbol. It is additionally part of the consortium that manages the broadcasting, image and sponsorship rights of Chile’s national soccer teams, as well as the sponsorships of the Peruvian national team.
