Red Bull fans are in uproar as they claim the company has discontinued their favorite flavor of the energy drink.
The popular beverage comes in a variety of different flavors and limited editions, including tropical fruits, watermelon and coconut.
But people are up in arms that the Crisp Pear edition of the drink appears to no longer be available to buy in stores.
The flavor, which comes in a dark green can, is sugar-free and was introduced alongside a peach drink to mark Valentine’s Day in 2019.
Fans are taking to social media to lament the loss of the beloved beverage – with cans selling on eBay for as much as $45.
‘Red bull needs to bring back the pear flavor I’m still not over it being discontinued,’ one person wrote on Twitter.
‘I stopped drinking Red Bull when they discontinued the limited edition sugar free pear flavored one,’ another said.
One user wrote: ‘Red Bull discontinuing the sugar free pear flavor was their worst business move in the company’s existence.’
The drink has popped up on selling site eBay, with prices ranging from $15 to a whopping $45 for a singular can.
Red Bull has not officially confirmed the product has been discontinued. DailyMail.com reached out to the company for comment.
The energy drink stalwart is not the only firm being accused of discontinuing items.
It comes as Walmart shoppers claim another popular soda – Mountain Dew Zero Sugar Frost Bite drink – has mysteriously disappeared from shelves up and down the country.
Customers have taken to social media to complain about the apparent discontinuation.
One user wrote: ‘Hey @Walmart, I am hearing some whispers that Frostbite Zero Sugar is disappearing in many areas. Has it been discontinued?’
Frost Bite Zero Sugar was launched in March 2021 and contains no calories or sugar.
Mountain Dew News – an unofficial social media account for the brand – said: ‘Now that you mention it, I haven’t seen any Zero Frostbite for a while in Utah, that’s interesting…’
Similarly another said: ‘Haven’t seen any Frostbite at all in any of my local Walmart store in about a year if not more.’
A third wrote: ‘Haven’t seen any in South Carolina.’
