CWT will now offer customers access to Air France-KLM’s NDC content through Amadeus’ Cytric online booking tool, the partners announced on Thursday (8 June).
The airline’s NDC content includes continuous pricing, ancillary options and personalisation through “dedicated corporate bundles”. Additional services such as seat bundles and sustainable aviation fuel options will be made available later this year, according to CWT.
The TMC said the new online pilot follows a “successful offline proof of concept phase” earlier this year in which its travel counsellors made Air France-KLM NDC bookings via the online tool for a select number of corporate customers.
Erik Magnuson, CWT’s vice president of product management, travel content and connectivity, said: “The ability to offer NDC content through an online booking channel is a major step forward in our ambition to create an omni-channel experience for our customers.
“Our close collaboration and partnership with Amadeus and Air France-KLM has made this possible, and it builds on the success of our continued efforts together,” he added.
Ludo Verheggen, director of air distribution growth at Amadeus, said the partnership is “an excellent example of all stakeholders coming together to share requirements and find solutions to drive NDC forward and accelerate modern retailing”.
Following a focus on leisure adoption, Air France-KLM distribution VP, Stephane Ormand, said the carrier is “working closely” with CWT and Amadeus to adapt NDC technology to business travel needs.
The airline’s NDC content is available on the Travelport+ global distribution system and via American Express Global Business Travel’s Neo booking platform and Egencia.
Earlier this month, the carrier also signed a deal with Amadeus to offer its Cytric portfolio to its direct corporate customers.
