Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) and the Korea Nuclear Association (KNA) jointly held an event introducing the business capabilities of the Korean nuclear industry at the Intercontinental Amstel Hotel in the Netherlands on June 2 (local time).

Around 90 people from the Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK), the Dutch Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ANVS), Nuclear Power Plant Operation Company (EPZ), Nuclear Research Institute (NRG&PALLAS), and various companies attended the event. During the meeting, KHNP showcased the excellence of domestic nuclear technology and industry and held B2B collaboration meetings between enterprises from both countries. This served as an opportunity to expand mutual cooperation and human exchange between enterprises in both countries.

The Dutch government announced a nuclear power plant construction roadmap at the end of last year that aims to secure a stable power supply, national energy security, and carbon neutrality. They also plan to construct two nuclear power plants, each with a capacity of 1,000 MW or more.
