A new era for Moneyweb with Moneyweb@Midday with Jeremy Maggs

[ad_1]

Moneyweb enters a new era at noon on Monday (8 May) with the premiere of Moneyweb@Midday.

Hosted by broadcasting veteran Jeremy Maggs, this new daily news and actuality show marks Moneyweb’s entry into the general news world.

This dynamic 30-minute live-streamed show will keep listeners informed on the latest happenings in South Africa and around the world, covering news across a range of topics, including breaking developments, politics, technology and business.

The show’s format will be fast-paced and include exclusive interviews with captains of industry, political leaders, CEOs of leading companies, and prominent newsmakers.

Moneyweb has traditionally only focused on business, financial, and investment news, but with this new offering, we will now cover all news events.

We think it’s vital that our audience remains informed of all news segments in our topsy-turvy country.

A podcast of the show will be available shortly after the live airing, allowing those who missed it to catch up at their convenience (we have designed our Moneyweb app for just this purpose).

Growing popularity of podcasting

Moneyweb@Midday follows in the footsteps of MoneywebNOW, our hugely successful morning business show hosted by Simon Brown. This show kicked off during 2020’s hard lockdown and has since grown in leaps and bounds, which proves that South Africa is adopting podcasting as a source of news.

I do not doubt that Moneyweb@Midday will follow in our morning show’s footsteps.

Tune in for the live show at noon on Monday and be part of Moneyweb’s entry into a new era.

And if you miss it, listen to the podcast, which I believe will be the best 30 minutes of your day.

For deeper insights into the country’s national issues and how they can be tackled, Maggs also hosts Moneyweb’s alternate-weekly FixSA podcast featuring robust conversations with South Africa’s top leaders.
