More than 250 businesses have registered to exhibit or attend the Chesterfield Business Expo when it takes place in the north Derbyshire town on Wednesday, October 25.
This year’s event runs from 9.30am-3.30pm at the Casa Hotel, and is expected to be the biggest business event in the town this year. Organisers say it has attracted interest from across the country, with visitors registered from as far away as Bristol.
Professional network host and expo co-founder Simon Coy said: “Our vision for the Chesterfield Business Expo is to create an outstanding event that brings together a significant number of business people from across the town and beyond.”
Casa Hotel Group managing director Mark Thurman said: “The Casa Hotel is the ideal venue for the Chesterfield Business Expo, because being in the heart of the country, we’ve got fantastic transport links, and wonderful meeting space and we’re the perfect place to celebrate business to business ideas and networking.”
Expo founder and business coach Emily Coy hoped by the time the day arrives 500 attendees will make the most of the event.
She said: “There are around 10,000 incredible businesses in Chesterfield, and we want to help them connect and work together to thrive and enhance the local economy.
“We are delighted that all the exhibition space sold out within a few weeks and we have more than 200 companies registered for a free visitor place.”
Jon Harris from printer and graphic designer Minuteman Press Chesterfield is one of the event sponsors.
He said: “I think Chesterfield need a business expo because we’ve got a huge amount of excellent independent businesses within Chesterfield, and I think we need to show them off.”
Attendees can still book their free place now via the expo website or simply turn up on the day.
