Here are the top three stories today in Alpharetta-Milton:

  1. A Switzerland-based robotics company has opened a new facility in Alpharetta. The location is a sales center for ABB Robotics, which engineers technologies for the packaging and logistics industry. The opening ceremony on Thursday featured YuMi, one of the company’s robots, which served as a DJ and prepared coffee for attendees. (The Business Journals)
  2. A juvenile suspect in the shooting at North Point Mall last week during a carnival has surrendered to investigators. The unnamed suspect faces charges of second-degree cruelty to children, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and others. Investigators say they believe the shooting was accidental. (FOX 5)
  3. In case you missed it A popular cookie company is opening a location in Alpharetta. Crave Cookies will bring its first Georgia storefront to the Camden Village Shopping Center later this year. Owners Mike Carey and Kim Fishman are currently in the permitting phase and expect the store to open no later than early October. (What Now Atlanta)
